American Foxhound / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Hunter the Dog needs a home

Meet Hunter! This silly boy is so much fun to be around! Hunter is great with other dogs, but his excitement gets the best of him around kitties so we recommend a home with no cats. Hunter is currently enrolled in the D.O.G. Project with the Wyoming Department of Corrections. While in this 8 week program, he is paired with a prison inmate who works with him daily on skills training and leash handling. In order to graduate, he will have to pass an assessment which requires him to walk in a heel, sit, lay down, stay, meet a stranger, and ignore a loud noise. Hunter is doing very well in the program, but this young guy is really having to learn to focus. His trainer passes along lots of praise and says Hunter is progressing wonderfully with each week! When he graduates at the beginning of February, we’re confident that Hunter will be proud to show off his skills to his new family! Apply to meet Hunter today!
